Born and raised in Edmonton, AB Canada, Janay Thomas is a multi-talented recording
artist with a unique voice and story to tell. The Pop/R&B songstress emerged onto the
scene with her debut single The Way I Feel. The record led her to be selected as an
artist with the HOT Factor by HOT 107 Edmonton and secured 2 international licensing
deals. Upon commercial release The Way I Feel shot to #8 on the iTunes Japan R&B/Soul
Charts. The momentum continued when the song secured major FM radio airplay,
placement on major compilation albums, and a nomination for R&B/Soul Recording of the
Year at the 2015 Edmonton Music Awards.

Since 2017 Janay has co-hosted CJSR 88.5 FM’s Groove Theory, a bi-weekly radio show
dedicated to R&B, sports, and pop culture events. Through this platform she is able to
introduce listeners to new music, discuss the latest industry trends, and promote local
artists.

Janay is currently in the studio creating her exciting debut release with Juno-nominated
production duo Towers. Her tireless work ethic combined with her singing/songwriting
talents make her one to watch in the years to come.
